Mrs. Gregory

From the Director of School Counseling

Dear DePaul Students and Families:

We feel so blessed to have our students back in school with us. The year is off to an amazing start. All students are adjusting to our safety precautions and seem grateful to be back in school. Virtual students are joining classes and participating with the students and teachers. I continue to pray every day for the health and well-being of our DePaul family.

We are fortunate to be able to hold the PSAT and School Day SAT on October 14th. Over two-thirds of the senior class has signed up to take the School Day SAT.

Although we love seeing families and students at the many School Counseling information sessions, we are holding them virtually for the foreseeable future. Here is a list of the upcoming information sessions:

  • The Senior College Information Session will be held on September 17th at 7:00 p.m. and will include all of the details of the college application process.
  • The College Financial Aid Night will be held on October 5th at 7:00 p.m. and will discuss the FAFSA application.
  • The NCAA Information Session will be held on October 15th at 7:00 p.m. and will discuss the process for all students who plan to play a Division I or II sport in college.
  • The Freshman/Sophomore College Night will be held on October 22nd at 7:00 p.m. and will discuss the things students should be doing to make themselves the best applicant they can be for their future college applications.
  • The Junior College Information Session will be held on November 12th at 7:00 p.m. and will include information on the college search and application process.

We are so excited to announce that our new Guidance Administrative Assistant is Mrs. Darlene Saporito. She has been at DePaul Catholic since 2016 and her warmth and compassion are a welcome addition to our department. Ms. Kelsey Hall is our new school counselor and she is no stranger to the School Counseling Department. Her knowledge and compassion make the students feel at ease.

The School Counselor breakdown is as follows:

  • Mrs. Cyndi Covello, Extension 312: All 8th and 9th grade students
  • Ms. Kelsey Hall, Extension 313: 10th-12th grade students with the last names A-M
  • Mrs. Anne Gregory, Extension 310: 10th-12th grade students with the last names N-Z

As your students' school counselors, we are here to address their academic, emotional and social well-being. Our door is always open to them and we welcome input or questions from parents/guardians.

Prayers for a safe and healthy school year:

    Anne Gregory M.Ed, J.D.
Director of School Counseling and Support Services
